Week 3 Highlights

Many of us parents will remember our school photos and now we have them to remember the good old days! This week we paused and made those memories in our school, sibling and friendship photos. I was pleased to see so many friendship photos, testament to the life-long relationships our young people build and nurture here at AIS Jakarta. Thanks to all our parents and SRC members who supported the Venezuelan Earthquake Appeal Bake Sale and Stall, it was great to see our community come together for a good cause. The busy weeks just keep getting more exciting, next week we have our Primary Art Show and Indonesian Independence Day celebration. Really looking forward to that and more!

Invitation to AIS Indonesia Independence Day Celebration – Friday, 14 August 2026

We are delighted to announce that we will be celebrating Indonesia's Independence Day at school on Friday, 14 August 2026.

We warmly invite all members of the AIS community to join our Flag Ceremony from 8:10 am to 8:35 am.

In the afternoon, we will hold a combined Primary and High School Assembly from 1:10 pm to 3:00 pm. This special event is open to all AIS family members, and we would be delighted to have you join us to enjoy our students' performances and celebrate this important occasion together.

To help create a festive atmosphere, we encourage everyone to wear red and white on the day.

Please find the Program of the Day attached. We hope you will take the opportunity to spend some time with us, watch the students showcase what they have been learning in their Indonesian Studies lessons, and experience some of the traditions and activities that are part of Indonesia's Independence Day celebrations.

Thank you, and we look forward to celebrating with you on 14 August 2026!
