Australian Ambassador’s Visit

The Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr Roderick Brazier, visited AIS Jakarta on Tuesday, accompanied by Ms Milisa McDowall, Counsellor (Management) and Consul from the Australian Embassy.

During his tour, Ambassador Brazier spent time in a number of classrooms, including Year 10 Science, other high school classes, several primary and preschool rooms, and the Year 6 STEM and Robotics class. A highlight for younger students was his reading of The Wobbly Bike picture book to the Year 1 and 2 classes.

The Ambassador was joined on his visit by High School Student Representative Council members Fatima, Eoghann and Yunji, along with Primary Captains Aisyah and George, Board Members and school leaders.

This visit provided a wonderful opportunity for Ambassador Brazier to experience firsthand the high-quality teaching and learning taking place across the school. He expressed his admiration for the students and staff, noting how impressed he was with the AIS community and what an important part AIS plays in the lives of so many families in Jakarta. Ambassador Brazier also shared a personal connection, mentioning that his son is an AIS alumnus, having attended AIS Kemang Primary School in the early 2000s.

Careers & University Fair

Our University and Career Fair will take place next Wednesday 3 September, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We are excited to welcome over 50 universities and educational organizations as well as career representatives across a wide range of fields. This will be a valuable opportunity for students to explore their future study and career pathways. Parents are welcome to attend the fair with their children. Further information is available in the letters sent to High School parents by Mr Jeremias.

Three Way Conferences

AIS will be hosting Three Way Conferences on Monday 15th September. The Primary & High School will send more information including meeting booking in the coming days. Please note that students only attend school with their parents on the day to participate in their conferences.

The best way to ensure your child receives their preferred meals is by pre-ordering for break and lunchtime each week. If weekly ordering isn’t possible, you can still order daily—either in person at the canteen or online each morning.
