Principal's News
It has been a rewarding week as I visited many Primary English as an Additional Language (EAL) classrooms as part of our Teacher Appraisal process. It is marvelous to see our beginner English learners engaging so enthusiastically with their teachers and classmates. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the High School assembly to recognise and celebrate our students who recently participated in the World Scholar’s Cup. With over 1,500 students competing, several of ours earned top placements, bringing home trophies and medals—an outstanding achievement. Today’s Primary Assembly led by Year 3A shared a valuable message about friendship. It was great to see so many students being recognised with certificates for their efforts in class and for participation in a recent badminton competition.
Finally, we will be hosting two Open House events next week for prospective parents and employers. The Primary School Open House will take place on Tuesday 27th May and the High School Open House will take place on Wednesday 28th May. If you have any friends or colleagues that might be interested in having their child (ren) join AIS, please direct them to admissions@ais-indonesia.com

AIS School Uniform Survey
All parents are invited to complete our AIS School Uniform Survey. We will use the data collected to inform initial discussion as we look to update the AIS School Uniform. A separate survey for students will be shared with them at school.
Upcoming School Camps and Sleepover
The final weeks of term promise to be filled with excitement as our students head off on a variety of camps and overnight experiences:
Year 2: School Sleepover
Years 3 & 4: Camp in Sentul (2 days / 1 night)
Years 5 & 6: Camp in Sentul (3 days / 2 nights)
Year 7: Camp in Yogyakarta (4 days / 3 nights)
Year 8: Camp in Lombok (4 days / 3 nights)
Year 9: Camp in Bali (4 days / 3 nights)
Year 10: Camp in Sumatra (4 days / 3 nights)
Year 11: Camp in Hue, Vietnam (5 days / 4 nights)
In total, 36 staff members will accompany about 200 students from AIS Jakarta, alongside a number of students from AIS Bali. This number does not include our Year 2 students who will be enjoying their sleepover at school. The scale of these events reflects a tremendous amount of planning, coordination, and commitment from our team. A huge thank you goes to Ms Remy, Ms Fiona, Dr Beth, and Ms Sinead for their leadership and support. Also special thanks to the teachers attending the camps.
I ask all parents to stay informed by reading all camp-related communications carefully and ensuring that any requested information is shared with the school promptly. Please also note that camp fees are now overdue, and we ask that any outstanding balances be paid immediately.
Punctuality is essential. Please ensure your child is dropped off and collected at the specified times for their camp group. Thank you for your ongoing support in helping make these enriching experiences possible for our students.
