Year 12 Field Study Trip

We welcome back our Year 12 Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies students from their Lombok field study trip this evening. A Huge thank you to Mr Mark Wilkinson, Mr David Wilson & Ms Jane Stevenson for accompanying the students on what I understand has been a very successful trip.

Happy Easter

Wishing all who celebrate a joyful and peaceful Easter. May this time bring a sense of renewal, hope, and connection with family and friends.

Whether through quiet reflection or celebration, may this season bring peace, joy, and togetherness to you and your loved ones.

We are grateful for the vibrant diversity of the AIS  community and the shared values that unite us.

ANZAC Day

AIS will be recognising ANZAC Day on Friday 25th April with an assembly at 10:00am, which parents are welcome to join. All AIS Families are invited to join the ANZAC Day Dawn Service organised by the Australian Embassy from 4:45am on Friday 25th April at Menteng Pulo. Any students attending the Dawn Service are requested to wear their school uniform.

ANZAC Day, observed on April 25th, is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, commemorating the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) soldiers who fought in World War I, particularly the Gallipoli campaign, and honoring all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

The CAC provides feedback and advice to the Principal or nominee and the Yayasan Board. It is essential that all members of the Campus Advisory Council establish two way lines of communication with the school community.

Parent members must make themselves known to other parents and be willing to share contact details to facilitate input, feedback and communication. Parent members are expected to work with and report back to their campus Parents & Friends Association. This can be done via oral or written reports. Parent representatives should share this responsibility. They should also be prepared to discuss items of concern or issues of interest with any parent wishing to provide feedback or express an opinion about matters on the CAC Agenda or reported in the CAC Minutes.

Parents & Friends (P&F) Association

Our next Parents & Friends (P&F) Association meeting is scheduled for 0900 on Friday 2nd May. All parents are welcome to attend this meeting. Our P&F Executive members are

Asnah Binti Abu Seman

Chairperson

Rishya Allan

Secretary

Eunyoung Jeong

Treasurer

Maria González

Social Coordinator

Shiho Hayashi

Media Coordinator

The objectives of the P&F are

  • To provide opportunities for parents to volunteer, share or contribute their services, knowledge, expertise or time to the campus for the benefit of the campus community.

  • To develop and promote positive relationships between parents and teachers through the organisation of social activities and interaction.

  • To raise funds that may then be used to purchase goods and services that assist the campus to meet its educational objectives and/or improve the amenities of the campus.

  • To receive reports from the elected Parent Members on the Campus Advisory Council (CAC) and to provide feedback to those Members on matters before the CAC.

Note: The P&F is primarily focused on the organisation of social events and fundraising. All matters relating to the operational management and educational administration of the campus are to be referred to the CAC Parent Members for further discussion and possible action.
