I joined the Australian Independent School (AIS) Indonesia as Principal of the Jakarta Campus in 2023 and bring over 30 years of experience in a wide age of educational settings including mainstream primary schools and a special school in Australia and the UK. I also have 20 years of teaching and leadership of international schools in China, Vietnam, the UAE and Indonesia.
I am very fortunate to be leading a wonderful school community at AIS Jakarta; open minded and caring students, experienced and innovative teachers; marvelous support staff and an active parent group. Combined with the guidance of a strong and experienced board, AIS is truly a special place to learn and work. What struck me most about AIS when I first visited and then when I started working here are the respectful and caring relationships between all members of the school community, and this is commented on by visitors to the school.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to AIS Bali. I have been working at AIS Bali since 1999, and throughout this time, it has been pleasing to see the school develop into a major educational provider on the island. I took on the role of Head of School in 2007 and it has been very exciting seeing our school grow throughout this time. The opening of our purpose built new campus in 2018 has definitely been a career highlight. Our campus offers the best facilities on the island. The school roll has seen tremendous growth, and I look forward to guiding the continual development of our school with the support of the whole school community.
AIS Bali is a co-educational school for Preschool to Year 12 students. We offer the Early Years Learning Framework in our preschool classes, the Australian Curriculum from Foundation to Year 10 and the International Baccalaureate in Years 11 and 12. We also run a school based senior school program that incorporates Vocational Education Training in Business and Hospitality.
