Principal’s Message

It has been wonderful to welcome both new and returning students back to school this week, and it’s been great to see so many parents on campus as well. We’ve started Term 3 with approximately 430 students.

Our Year 12 students have begun their mock exams, which will continue through until next Friday. Today, our Year 5 students, along with our High School Ambassadors and Student Representative Council members, took part in leadership workshops led by Chris and Armandee Drew. Chris & Armandee are experienced educators and adult trainers in leadership development on four continents over the past 20 years. Tomorrow, approximately twenty staff will join workshops with Chris and Armandee, focusing on developing intercultural intelligence.

Next week, our Year 9 - 11 students will work with trainers from the Academy of Entrepreneurs to develop their entrepreneurial skills. I am also looking forward to meeting with parents at next Friday morning’s P&F Meeting.

Parent & Visitors Code of Conduct:  Wellbeing and Safeguarding Everybody

As part of our ongoing commitment to child protection and safeguarding, we are introducing a new Code of Conduct for all parents and visitors to our school campus. This code outlines expectations around respectful behaviour, appropriate interactions, and campus access protocols.

Clear signage will be posted around the school to help remind everyone of these important guidelines. These measures are designed to create a safe, respectful environment for all students, staff, and families.   We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a secure and welcoming school community. Copies of these files are attached to this week’s Jakarta Bytes email.

Thank you to Ms Linzi, our Wellbeing Co-ordinator and Designated Safeguarding Lead for leading this important initiative.

International Day

AIS Jakarta will host International Day from 12:00 - 3:00pm on Friday 1 August. We are excited to announce that we will have the following country stalls on the day:

  • Australia

  • Great Britain

  • India

  • Indonesia

  • Japan

  • Korea

  • Latin America (Venezuela, México, Argentina)

  • Malaysia

  • African Nations (Tanzania, South Africa, Kenya)

This is an event that all parents are invited to join us for.  All students and parents are invited to wear traditional dress or national sporting team jerseys or clothes in the colors of their country on the day.

Thank you to the parents who are volunteering their time to organise the stalls and contribute to the event.

Jungle Toppings Canteen Orders

The best way to ensure your child receives their preferred meals is by pre-ordering for break and lunchtime each week. If weekly ordering isn’t possible, you can still order daily—either in person at the canteen or online each morning.

Dear Parents and Students,

We are excited to announce that the AIS Annual School Photo will take place on Monday and Tuesday, 4th & 5th August 2025, in the School Library.
