AIS Bali is seeking to employ two Primary Classroom Teachers to commence in January 2027. The successful applicants must hold a Bachelor of Education (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of classroom teaching experience.
 

Location: AIS Bali Campus


Contract: 12-month contract. Extension of the contract upon mutual agreement between the school and the teacher.


Start Date: The successful applicant will be expected to start on campus on Monday, 18 January 2027, for induction, settling in, teacher planning days and conference, before students commence on Monday, 25 January 2027.


At AIS Bali, we follow the Australian Curriculum for Foundation to Year 10, preparing the students for study in the IB Diploma or a school-based programme in Years 11 and 12. While our senior students achieve results well above the world average for the IB, we focus on enabling success and achievement for all students from Early Years 3 to Year 12.

Your opportunity: 

This is an opportunity to join the vibrant Primary faculty at AIS Bali. 

As the teacher, you will: 

• Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs for every student in your allocated classes and/or groups. 

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the school vision & mission, objectives and school planning. 

• Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment. 

• Contribute to and assist with the management and further development of resources of the school to ensure their optimum use in meeting educational and departmental objectives. 

Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate. The principal provides educational leadership for the school and sets the general direction and ethos for all staff, students and community members. 

The Role: 

You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivering the following key tasks: 

• Plan, prepare and deliver quality and effective teaching and learning programs which are consistent with AIS expectations and relevant syllabi, curriculum policies, work programs and global educational trends. 

• Support students through interaction with them in a variety of settings and through the active development of supportive learning environments and effective class management practices. 

• Provide for the physical, social, cultural and emotional wellbeing and physical safety of students whilst at school and enhance their overall development towards effective global citizenship 

• Assess students (diagnostic, formative and summative) for developmental, feedback and reporting purposes. 

• Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents, the school and other stakeholders. 

• Participate in the collaborative development and evaluation of curriculum and regularly monitor, through observation and evaluation, the effectiveness of the learning/teaching program. 

• Assist in the planning and execution of sports and cultural events, drama and musical presentations as directed, and/or cocurricular activities (ECAs) and school events as requested.

• Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between students, parents, staff, and the AIS wider community. 

• Maintain a professional image at all times, be neatly presented (as per the Staff Dress Policy), approachable, courteous and helpful.

• Participate as appropriate in school decision making processes, professional development and contribute to the further refinement of school policies and practices.

• Maintain teaching competency and currency of knowledge of relevant curriculum programs as required by the school

 

Key Capabilities:

Within the context of the role described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities: 

1. Ability to apply appropriate knowledge in order to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs in your nominated areas which meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students; and are consistent with school expectations and requirements.

2. Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards attainment of their potential. 

3. Ability to communicate effectively with students, including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills, and the ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour and classroom management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment. 

4. An understanding of the need to work collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider AIS community in order to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.

and holds ourselves to a high standard of effective recruiting practices with specific
attention to child protection. AIS will hold phone or video conference conversations with
at least two professional referees for all candidates before a position to teach at AIS is offered.


Our school takes Child Protection responsibilities very seriously, and all due diligence
must be carried out to ensure that an applicant has ‘Working with Children’ clearance. Applicants will need to provide police checks from the countries in which they have worked in over the past ten years.

  • Australian Federal Police.

  • US Teacher Accreditation.
