Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to the 2021 Academic school year. It has been great seeing high attendance and engagement from our students to their learning this week in all classes. Our year has not started the way we had hoped, but we do not let the present situation get us down or affect the learning taking place at AIS.
Next week we will resume small study groups in the Primary School to carry out assessments, supporting student learning and well-being. We hope that this will increase throughout the term as part of our assimilation to returning to face to face teaching. If your child is accessing the support, please do not forget to send through to the school the results of a rapid antibody test.
As you would all be aware, the present number of positive cases in Bali increases due to more testing being conducted and the increase of domestic tourism over the festive season. It is important to remember that we all play a part in reducing the number of local transmissions. Please remember to adhere to health protocols at all times - wear your mask, wash your hands and sanitise regularly and physically distance yourself from others.
We are presently working on a number of initiatives that we will introduce later in the term to get our students together actively and socially outside of school. Similar to ECAs but off campus at various locations. I hope you support these initiatives so that we are able to start them soon. More information will be available once finalised.
Welcome back to all our returning students and welcome to all our new students.
