Dear Parents and Carers,
This week marked one year since the Bali Campus closed for face-to-face teaching due to the COVID-19 pandemic! It has been quite the roller-coaster ride since then, and I know we would not have gotten through this past year without the support and sacrifice from all parts of our community – students, parents and staff. May I express my sincere gratitude - "Thank You"!
Our academic staff have managed to deliver an engaging and professional online programme for the past year, all the while developing new skills and making adjustments to ensure they are meeting the needs of our students – your children. Like each of us, they have also been dealing with their own worries about COVID-19 and its impact on their lives. Our students have also risen to the challenge. They may have had some ups and downs along the way, but they have been incredibly supportive of each other and continue to make the best of the situation - I am incredibly proud of all our students for their resilience throughout this challenging year. Then, of course, there is you, the parents. You have had to support your children throughout the home learning in ways I don’t think anyone ever imagined. Again – thank you for supporting us to educate your son/daughter.
I believe we can now see the light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel. This week, we saw a number of our Indonesian staff receive their first dose of their COVID vaccination. This is very exciting news as it will help us on our pathway to returning to face to face teaching soon.
