Five Year 12 students who did work experience at Yayasan Balita Sehat during the Year 12 Camp Week in Term 1 were invited back on Thursday 21st April to celebrate Kartini Day at YBS. This was in appreciation of the students’ work, as they had become quite popular with the little ones during the time they had spent there. The children of YBS put on a fashion-show wearing ethnic Indonesian costumes, and sang traditional songs in celebration of this special day. Year 12 students were invited to share lunch with the staff and students after the event. The students have a close connection with YBS and the children and mothers were very pleased that AIS students were able to attend.
