Kampung kids is an activity where we, as a group of students, help Indonesian children from six to thirteen years old, with various classes. These classes include IT skills; where children learn and practice new skills on computers, homework/study club where the children bring in their homework and are helped in Bahasa Indonesia; and last but not least, is the English class, where children are keen to learn to speak, write and read in English language. Kampung Kids is not just an ordinary ECA, but is for us a great opportunity to build a happy and respectful environment around young Indonesian children, where every week classes become more interesting as we get to know the children and their personality, little by little. Each lesson is an opportunity to construct and develop our own skills and have new experiences, as well as, help develop the children’s knowledge and support them to do better at school.
