This year, the year 7s were lucky enough to go on a very different kind of school camp, to Bandung. Gone was the traditional idea of staying out in tents at the mercy of the elements. Instead, the Year 7 team wheeled their suitcases into the Sheraton Hotel!  After settling into the luxurious accommodations and having a grand tour of the tennis courts, swimming pool and football field, the class was ready to explore Bandung together.  Bowling, slipping and sliding over the ice skating rink, eating delicious food and seeing waterfalls at the base of a cafe were some of the highlights of the camp, as also the beauty of the Bandung volcano where students enjoyed the scenery, the strawberries, bargaining with the locals for souvenirs and climbing mountains.  There were dance and song performances, cooking classes and time to rest and play in the pool.  It was a fantastic camp; the students were amazing and did the school proud with their great behaviour.  They can’t wait until they are in Year 9 to go on camp again!
