ANZAC Day 2011

On Monday, April 25 Year 5/6 students participated in an ANZAC Day ceremony held at the Pejaten campus to commemorate the sacrifice made by service men and women in times of war, especially the ANZACs.

The theme of this year’s ceremony was Women in War that focused on a selection of diary entries of nurses during World War 1. Angela from 5/6S read one such entry and the Kemang School Captains, Namitha and Kenneth, helped to carry the commemorative wreaths.

Following this, on a much lighter note, the students made ANZAC biscuits with Ms Diane. Please click on the photo thumbnails to view each activity.
