Balikpapan activities
Life at AIS is always full of choices. Throughout their school years, students are able to participate in a range of Extra Curricular Activities along with exploring Balikpapan and its surrounding environs through excursions. We celebrate our own culture and that of others and there is always a wonderful busy buzz in our classrooms. These photos are a reflection of our days at the Australian International School, Balikpapan.
As we are situated next to the beach we take advantage of an early morning beach walk every Friday. This is a time where the whole school has an opportunity to play beach games and interact with each other as one big, happy family.
Some of the activities we offer are tennis, where children receive excellent tuition from the Balikpapan Tennis Association. AIS have a swim squad with opportunities to compete with other schools. There is traditional dancing, music, art activities, beginner swimming and local woodworking crafts.
