Welcome to our campus for Year 7 to 12 students. At AIS Pejaten, our students and staff work towards common goals in an informal atmosphere marked by trust and respect. We provide a warm and stimulating environment that fosters academic, personal and social advancement.
Our aim is to produce well-rounded graduates with a global perspective on life. The engaging and reflective learning environment fosters the continued development of our students as enthusiastic lifelong learners. Our school promotes high standards of academic excellence, responsibility and citizenship in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
We implement a developmental, student-centred approach to teaching following an inquiry-based and interdisciplinary curriculum. AIS Pejaten is affiliated with the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Department of Education and Training (DET) and offers a curriculum overseen by DET.
Students who successfully complete Years 9 and 10 receive a Year 10 Certificate issued by DET; students who complete Years 11 and 12 levels receive Year 12 Certificates issued by the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies and are eligible for admission to universities in Australia and worldwide.
AIS Pejaten is an inclusive campus; students with learning difficulties are an integral part of the school community. The mainstreaming of these students, wherever possible, provides them with a sense of equality and encourages other students to be accepting of diversity.
The inclusive nature of our school is reflected in the strong community spirit which is a cornerstone of the School’s philosophy. Concern for student welfare is of the highest priority. Our class sizes are kept small allowing teaching staff to be accessible to students and parents, and responsive to individual needs and concerns.
Our school continues to enhance its reputation for academic rigour. AIS graduates have gained admission to leading universities in Australia, South-east Asia, England and North America.
Prospective students and their parents who seek a world-class education in a welcoming environment are invited to come and see why our students enjoy attending AIS, and why our staff is proud of their school.
