Years 11 and 12 Physics
In Physics, Year 11 students are studying Forces and Motion and Year 12 students have been studying Engineering Science. On March 27, students visited the University of Indonesia to support the work covered in class. The students spent half a day in the Metallurgy Fepartment completing tensile testing, hardness testing and impact testing of various samples.
Year 11 students are currently working on a design and make project involving materials. Their task is to design a casing to protect an egg that is dropped from a height of 10m. Students were able to observe a series of tests that they could apply to aspects of their own designs.
Our thanks in particular to Ms Agra who established contact with the University and for planning the program to ensure that we maximised the experience.
