World Math Day
Pejaten students recently participated in an international “Mathletics” competition and achieved great success. 123 students participated in this event which had a world wide participation of over 1 million students from 164 countries and 20,000 schools. Our students answered 92,577 questions correctly in 24 hours with an average improvement of 60.8%.
Our top five students were:
• Woo Young Park answered 22,286 questions with a best score of 67 questions in 60 seconds. This was an outstanding achievement as he ranked 96th in the world.
• Min Soo Koo answered 17,533 questions
• Amanda Sutrisno answered 4,767 questions
• Woo Seok Choi answered 3,757 questions.
• Seung Bin Jung answered 3,575 questions
Certificates were presented to the top five students at our last assembly and all students who participated were presented with a certificate in their home room class. We congratulate all students who took part, with special thanks to Mr Wayne for his encouragement and enthusiasm which greatly contributed to the success of the event.
