 AIS offers the Languages Other Than English (LOTE) program in its primary school curriculum. Aimed at increasing understanding knowledge, understanding and appreciation of other cultures, the emphasis of the program is on communication.
Indonesian language is offered at the Kemang, Pejaten and Bali campuses.
Topics in LOTE complement the units of inquiry taught as part of the class program. The LOTE program is divided into the four basic skills of:
- Speaking
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
Each of these strands has outcomes targeted for the different developmental stages of student learning and student progress is assessed against these outcomes.
