Leadership in Action
Enthusiasm, commitment, creativity and action were just some of the attributes displayed by the Year 6 students who chose to take up this responsibility for Term 1. Their task was to plan and coordinate activities for Year 6 leadership that would support their pledge of ‘"Stepping Up and Stepping Out".
Some of the activities that have been keeping them busy include:
• A fabulous foyer display
• An activity session for the student body titled "Just For Fun"
• Assembly for student leaders
• Meeting with class teachers
• The Newcomb Ball challenge between Year 6 and the staff
• Extending invitations to representatives from Kampung Kids to visit AIS to explain what they do for disadvantaged kids in the Pejaten Barat area
• A free dress day with the theme of ‘Back to Front’ to raise funds for this local charity organisation
