Dear Parents, Students and Friends,
Welcome to Week 5 of Term 2
This Monday is our Koala Karnival. A huge amount of work has been put into the planning and preparation for this day by our students with great support from our staff (and I am sure by parents).
It promises to be a fun day however the student learning associated with organizing such an event is very significant.
By having to sit together, think creatively, discuss, negotiate, delegate, plan, take responsibility, manage a small budget, and then to relate to younger Kemang students as well as their peers as stall workers on the day, students develop a range of skills that are often not as easily developed inside the classroom.
Parents are invited to come and join in the fun. You will appreciate the creativity and team work of our students.
The fun events will begin at 10.30 am and conclude at 1.45pm.
Most games cost 5000rp (although some are cheaper) and food is priced between 5000rp and 15000rp.
We look forward to having you join us.

Pejaten Performers and Art Show
When: Monday June 13th from 5.30pm Venue: at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini Raya. Tickets: 100 000rp which includes food and 1 drink Tickets can now be purchased from the Pejaten front office but we will also send home a ticket order form next week.
Rehearsals and in some cases auditions for this evening are still being conducted. We are truly amazed at the wonderful enthusiasm shown by our students and currently we have 31 possible acts. This is too many for the 2 hour performance so our staff have the difficult job of reducing the acts.
It does, however mean that it will be a very entertaining evening that is not to be missed.
Year 12
Mr Brenton Harris and Mr Brenton Hall will meet with all Year 12 students individually over the next few weeks to discuss their plans for Tertiary study in 2012. We will set up plans to assist them with the enrolment process for Universities. Applications to Australian Universities will take place from August until the end of October.
