It is only Term 1 but it has been a busy few weeks for our high school students.

Ms Made took the Year 9 Mathematic students on a field trip to Carrefour last week. The trip was intended to provide students with practical experience for concepts on probability that have been taught in class. Each student was given twenty tokens to play on any machine which they used to complete their probability assignment. It was an enjoyable and educational outing that demonstrated that Mathematics is not only an interesting subject but also one that can be taught outside of a classroom.

Years 7/8 students have been enjoying their lessons with new Science teacher, Mr Sam Mahoney. One of the Science experiments that they have been working on was to see who could build the highest tower using the given materials. Wow - some of them nearly reached the roof! It was a great activity, with students working in groups.
