Year 5-6 Bamboo Painting
Works of bamboo paintings, usually in ink, are a recognized
motif or subgenre of East Asian painting. In a unit of work of bamboo
painting in ink, a skilled artist and calligrapher will paint a bamboo
stalk or group of stalks with leaves. The Year 5 and 6 students
decided to give this old tradition a bit of a twist,so they painted a
medium size format canvas with acrylics, black ink and poster paint to
create their own unique versions of bamboo painting and calligraphy.
